MISSION POSSIBLE!

Mission work is the heart of Covenant Presbyterian Church, demonstrating our love for Christ Jesus, and taking up the charge to go into the world to share his love.  It is our joy to reach out to our community, our nation, and our world.

The Covenant Craft Guild sponsors mission work by selling their beautiful quilts and also by donating many hand-crafted pieces to those in need.  Our members volunteer as drivers and office staff for "Meals on Wheels", we roll up our sleeves to donate blood at our annual blood drive, pick up trash along the road, and collect school supplies for Victory Mission.

There are so many great mission works done through Covenant!  We will highlight several here to show just some of the good works we are doing.

One Great Hour of Sharing PDF Print E-mail
One of the global missions embraced by our congregation is the One Great Hour of Sharing offering which is collected annually and provides ministries such as disaster relief, refugee assistance and community development through the Presbyterian Church.

Loaves & Fishes PDF Print E-mail

This is a mission program that is designed to help both campus ministry and Crosslines.  The first Sunday night of each month (during the school year) we will cook a homemade dinner for the college students at UMHE house.  In return, the students will be encouraged to do volunteer work at Crosslines.  We are call this a pass-it-on project where one good deed deserves another.

This project is fully funded by a grant from our John Calvin Presbytery and we are so grateful for their support.

Anyone interested in cooking their favorite dish for one of the dinners, will be reimbursed for the ingredients out of the UMHE line item budget.
